Alija Delimustafić arrived in the Detention Unit in Sarajevo

alija-delimustafic-extraditedFormer Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Alija Delimustafić, who was arrested in Croatia on the international warrant issued by the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, was extradited to the judicial bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday in the afternoon hours.

Delimustafić was handed over to the Court Police on the border crossing between BiH and Croatia in Velika Kladuša. Minister of Justice of Croatia made a decision on his extradition.

Delimustafić was arrested on December 21 last year in Karlovac, in a bus that operates on the route Rijeka-Zagreb.

International and internal warrants have been issued for him after the Court Police of the Sarajevo Canton could not find him at the place of residence when detention was ordered for him.

The Court Police also did not find Juso Škriljelj at the place of residence and a warrant has been issued for him as well. Suspects Suada Hadžić and Lejla Cerić, arrested in the action Justice, were taken back to custody.

Delimustafić was on the run ever since the Court of the Sarajevo Canton extended his detention by two months. He is charged with organized crime, abuse of office, violation of the law of judges, money laundering, and fraud.
