The Ambassador of the USA in BiH Patrick Moon was informed about the initiative to reform the Constitution of FBiH and the initiative is being considered, it was confirmed from the Embassy of the USA in BiH.

Both the USA and the EU are interested in reform of the Constitution of FBiH.

Ambassador Moon said several times last year that the USA didn’t have any specific suggestions, but the only solution for the reconstruction of FBiH is the reform of the Constitution.

The US and the EU representatives who are involved in the process think that political leaders in FBiH must start talking and reach a compromise and jointly reach the solution.

The entire process is happening in order to try to change the Constitution of BiH so that BiH can apply to become the candidate of the EU, and it is especially related to the Sejdić and Finci ruling.

All political leaders support changes, but have very different views on how to change the Constitution.

All the reforms of the Constitution will have to done in the cooperation of political parties in BiH.

The USA and the EU want to see a functional FBiH governed by the Government with smaller administration which would be much cheaper than it is now, and which will serve to all its citizens.
