Bosnian athlete Amel Tuka advances to 800-meter finals at Tokyo Olympic Games

The best athlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amel Tuka, competed in the semifinals of the 800-meter race today.

Amel Tuka is in the finals of the Olympic Games!


The pride of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amel Tuka, after qualifying for the semifinals of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, today started the fight for the finals and can win a historic medal for our country.

Here he was placed in the third qualifying group, and his rivals were Jeffrey Riseles (Australia), Niel Amos (Botswana), Elliot Giles (UK), Isaiah Jewett (USA), Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich (Kenya), Oussama Nabil (Morocco) and Pierre-Ambroise (France).

It was already clear from the names of his rivals that Tuka is facing a difficult task to qualify for the finals, regardless of the fact that he is currently third on the world list.

Our athlete ended up in second place in the race, winning such a grand final. From the beginning, Amel started great, he held the first two places, in the end he ran 800 meters in a time of 1: 44.53.

Kenyan Rotich is the winner of the third qualifying race with a time of 1: 44.04.

The finals in the 800-meter race will take place on Wednesday, August 4th, Sport Sport.ba writes.
