Amel Tuka to run the Final Race of the Diamond League in Brussels tonight

tukaOur best athlete Amel Tuka tonight will perform from 9:45 pm on the 800m final race of the Diamond League in Brussels.

Tuka is on the fifth place in the Diamond League standings with five points, and he can finish this season in the elite world athletics competition in third place, which currently occupied Alfred Kipketer in Kenya.

Kipketer has 14 points. Tuka could overtake his place if he wins one of the top two places. First place is worth 20, and another 12 points. If Tuka wins the first place, will occupy third place if Kipketer does not win the second place.

If Tuka wins the second place in the race, Kipketer should not be ranked higher than sixth place.

Interestingly, Kipketer can win the Diamond League if he wins in this race, and Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich and Pierre-Ambroise Bosse can finish outside the top six, which is highly unlikely.

What is much more likely is that Rotich and Bosse will decide on the winner of the Diamond League this season. The difference is only five points in favor of Kenyan (33-27). The math is simple – Rotich just needs to finish ahead of the Frenchman for the title.

Besides Tuka, Rotich, Bosse and Kipketer, in the race will also participate Jonathan Kitilit (Kenya), Clayton Murphy (USA), Adam Kszczot (Poland), Kipyegon Bett (Kenya) and Bram Som (Netherlands). Tuka has a better time from Dutch this season.
