Amina Kajtaz has given up on BiH, she is performing for Croatia at the European Swimming Championship

The European senior swimming championship starts today in Rome, where the best BiH swimmers will perform, but the particularly interesting information is that BiH national team member Amina Kajtaz will swim under the Croatian flag.

Kajtaz  plays for the Zagreb club Mladost and received Croatian citizenship in 2020, but until now there was no known information that she decided to play for the national team of our neighbors.

Although she hinted in the past that the continuation of her career is highly questionable due to lack of financial resources and that the solution would be to leave and perform for another country that offers her better conditions, Kajtaz changed her “jersey” rather imperceptibly.

Her name is among the names of the members of the Croatian swimming team published on the official website of the Croatian Swimming Federation, and the Croatian media in the past few days reported on the preparations of their selection for the European Championship.

Also, on the official website of the European Championships in Rome, it is stated that she will compete as a member of the Croatian national team in the 100-meter dolphin, in which Lana Pudar will also perform, and it is possible that we will see their duel in case they pass the qualifications.

The competition will be held from August 11 to 17 in the national swimming center “Parco Del Foro Italico”.

Lana Pudar will perform in three disciplines (50, 100 and 200 meters dolphin), and her first performance will be on August 12 in the qualifications for 50 m dolphin, Klix.ba reports.
