Tuzla International Airport (TIA), besides increasing the number of passengers, also recorded good results when it comes to realized revenue.

According to the business plan this year, revenue growth of more than one million BAM is planned.

“We have surpassed nine percent of our revenue plan for the last year, and we have planned little more than ten million BAM. This year, we plan 11.480.000 BAM of revenues, which is almost 11 percent more than the realized 10.350.000 BAM which we had in the past year, “ says the director  of TIA, Rifet Karasalihovic.

The TIA currently has 170 employees, and this year 20 additional jobs will be opened. More workers will be required to accommodate a larger number of passengers, and the planned growth is 12 percent.

“Last year we ended up with 535.000 passengers, and the goal for this year is to increase it to 600.000. One of our most important projects for this year is the expansion and upgrading of our passenger terminal, by which we will expand the capacity of TIA to 700.000 passengers per year,“ said Karasalihovic.
