Analysis: decrease in outgoing traffic and SMS Messages in BiH

phones roamingA total number of active fixed telephone lines of dominant operators in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last quarter of 2016 amounted to 692,575, which represents a decrease of 2.8 percent compared to the same quarter in 2015.

Total outgoing traffic of fixed telephone network in the previously mentioned period amounted to 499,808,307 minutes, which represents six percent decrease compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.

When it comes to the number of subscribers of mobile networks in the last quarter of 2016, it amounted to 3,404,043 and decreased by 1.1 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.

Total outgoing traffic of mobile networks in the fourth quarter of 2016 amounted to 612,749,477 minutes, which is less by 4.7 percent compared to the same quarter of 2016.

SMS sent in the fourth quarter last year decreased by 23.6 percent, while the number of sent MMS messages decreased by 12.2 percent compared to the same period in 2015.

The total number of Internet connections via the fixed network in the last quarter of last year amounted to 662,468, which represents an increase of 3.3 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.
