Ayatollah Khamenei: Iran Will Attack U.S. Bases If The U.S. Resumes Attacks

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned on Thursday that Iran will attack United States (U.S.) bases in the region if Washington resumes attacks on Iranian territory.

“The fact that the Islamic Republic has access to key U.S. centers in the region and can take action whenever it deems necessary is a significant thing,” Khamenei said in a televised speech.

“Such action can be repeated in the future. If there is any aggression, the enemy will definitely pay a high price,” he added.

His statements were his first public comment since the 12-day war between Iran and Israel was halted through U.S. mediation on June 24th.

Khamenei also said that the U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear sites did not achieve much.

“U.S. President Donald Trump is trying to hide this truth,” he added.
