dobojBusiness people from Azerbaijan expressed their interest to invest in Doboj.

Since it will soon preside over the Council of Europe, it wishes to start projects that would restore confidence between people throughout BiH.

“The city of Doboj, as an example of a multi-religious city, is one of the more interesting areas for opening a particular production facility, in which people from all faiths would be employed’’, announced the cabinet of the Vice-President of the RS Enes Suljkanović, who was in Doboj yesterday with the Mayor Obren Petrović. They spoke with the delegation from Azerbaijan.

It was added that the representatives of Azerbaijan expressed an interest in the revitalization of the former “Bosanka”, which was one of the agents of the economic development of Doboj.

After an unsuccessful privatization, it is recognized that it is much better to invest in the construction of new facilities than to raise what once was.

Mayor of Doboj Obren Petrović called investors from Azerbaijan to invest in Doboj, due to the fact that it has an excellent geostrategic position, and that the local community is a great benefit for investors.

He specifically stated that they are proud of the co-existence that was fostered in the last six to seven years.

Petrović gave examples of successful privatization in the city, and especially of the lignite mine and the thermal-electric EFT Stanari, the mine and the facility for lime “Carmesue” Ševarlije.

Vice-President Suljkanović expressed satisfaction with the visit of the delegation of Azerbaijan, and especially the fact that the ‘guidelines’ for the arrival to Doboj arrived from Sarajevo and Banja Luka, which is commendable.

He was satisfied with the fact that investors have as a goal to open production facilities that would employ qualified people from all confessions and that the positive story of co-existence in Doboj ‘’finally gives results’’.
