B&H accepted Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al Sawah, the Prisoner from Guantanamo

guantanamoFrom the Ministry of Security of B&H announced that B&H accepted Tariq Mahmoud Ahmed al Sawah, who was transferred to B&H from Guantanamo.

B&H joined the program of acceptance of Guantanamo prisoners, which is involving a larger number of countries, within the framework of cooperation with the United States, which are trying to close this military prison.

Sawah spend the last 13 years in this prison, but he was never prosecuted or convicted.

His residence in B&H was regulated in accordance with the Law on Foreigners, and he accepted the obligation to respect the law of B&H and he will be supervised by the competent authorities of B&H, according to the Ministry of Security.
