APU Network is a non-profit organization that was created more than 20 years ago, which is the result of the enthusiasm of academics, businessmen and artists of Bosnian origin, who gathered with the aim of building bridges between Sweden and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The APU Network began its activities in 2004 when Armin Kruško, Emir Dizdarević and Mirza Tuco, then students of the Royal University of Technology in Stockholm, founded this network with the aim of promoting relations and cooperation between Bosnians and Herzegovinians in Sweden, as well as promoting entrepreneurship and education in the homeland.
Since then, the APU Network has continuously grown and developed, bringing together all generations with a common goal. Today, the APU Network has a wide range of activities that include the promotion of culture, language and tradition, but also the encouragement of entrepreneurship and education.
In addition, the network organizes public debates about the role of the Bosnian diaspora in Swedish society and actively participates in discussions about the engagement of the diaspora in its homeland.
One of the key initiatives of the APU Network is APU Business, which focuses on the promotion and improvement of economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden. This initiative seeks to improve economic exchange between the two countries, especially through sectors such as the wood and metal industry, energy and the IT sector.
Through APU Business, the APU Network strives to facilitate the connection of companies from both regions, thereby encouraging the creation of new jobs and strengthening economic cooperation.
In addition to economic activities, the APU Network actively participates in marking important dates from the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as Independence Day, Statehood Day, but also memorial dates such as “White Ribbon Days” and “July 11” in memory of the victims of genocide. because they believe that the culture of memory is extremely important for preserving identity and heritage for future generations.
Their events bring together prominent individuals and representatives from both countries and provide an opportunity to strengthen ties and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden.
The first of March, one of the most significant dates in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been traditionally celebrated by the APU Network for more than 10 years. They use this ceremony as an opportunity to spread inspiring stories about our country and successful individuals and groups, thus contributing to the promotion of positive things.
This year, the special guests of the evening were H.E. Bojan Šošić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Sweden, Vjekoslav Vuković, President of the Foreign Trade Chamber in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amir Čoralić, President of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and prominent individuals from the business world such as Zlatan Golalić, Himzo Music, Selma Kahrimanović, Adis Murtić, Damir Konakovic, Zana Karkin and Emir Ahmetspahić.
With the support of its members, partners and associates, the APU Network continues its mission of building bridges between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden and contributes to strengthening the ties between these two countries in all aspects of life.
