Tomislav Cvitanusic was declared as the Man of the year of 2016 after a year of preparation and work on the project of the Election of the Man of the Year where the team of fifteen members of the jury and editorial staff of SNL closely watched figures from eleven categories and rewarded those who deserve it.
“On one occasion, Tomislav said that he would describe himself as a person who wants to be in the process of learning and mastering new skills, and that it does not have to be only sports skills but also skills that help us to better understand each other, our environment, and ourselves. He told us that he thought that only with the exit from our comfort zone we can get to know new things and to find out a lot about ourselves, and to be on a thrilling journey through life,” said the editor of SNL, Sanel Hadzic.
He says that this is exactly the reason why they continued to follow Tomislav through his work, achievements and interests.
“We realized a comprehensive success, humane above everything else. Many people have written about him and admired his humanity at work, thus one of the greatest possible characteristic of a living individual – humanity and kindness. There was no doubt: Tomislav Cvitanusic deservedly received the recognition ‘Man of the year of 2016,” said Hadzic.
The winner also commented the award.
“Thank you, because I know how responsibly and how well you’re doing your job. You have set very high standards in what you do. I’m happy that we have such people around and I am sure there are better and stronger and faster and more humane than me,” said Tomislav Cvitanusic.
Fashion brand of the year is Alma Ras – Manners, manager of the year is Fahrudin Salihovic, humanist of the year is Fahrudin Bravo Caki, athlete of the year is Amel Tuka, musical artist of the year is Hari Varesanovic, actor of the year is Adnan Haskovic, fashion designer of the year is Selma Bijedic, model of the year is Tarik Kaljanac, genius of the year is Haris Ascalic, and the lifetime achievement award was given to Sabahudin Kurt.
