In tradition which was started in sixties on Radio Sarajevo, Drama program of BH Radio 1 has published a competition for the most original radio drama in order to promote drama texts written primarily for radio and to give the chance to local writers to present their works, reports FENA.
During past twelve years, more than a thousand applications came, and around 200 radio-dramas were produced.
Applicants from the entire country can apply, and teams of Radio 1 will go on the field and if there are minimum requirements they will record the radio drama, said BH Radio 1.
This competition has allowed the great number of young talented writers to try write this specific genre of drama and to produce their texts in art work of sound.
Also, a great number of renowned writers apply to this competition, which only confirms that the competition is good and authentic.
‘The competition is an important, but only the first step in the creation of radio drama. It is the process that includes experts from various fields and of course listeners who accept the drama as a part of its own cultural and artistic identity’ , says BH Radio 1.
The competition will be opened by 15 April for all genres in languages of BiH. The expert jury will give three awards including the right of recording and airing the drama.
First prize is 1 500 BAM, second 1 000 BAM and third 700 BAM.
All citizens of BiH have the right to participate.
