BiH FM: Citizens will feel the Benefits of EU Rapprochement in their Pockets

BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of People and Justice Elmedin Konaković said that today’s session of the state parliament adopted three laws from 14 EU priorities, which had been pending for years.

“We signed an agreement in which it was agreed to be adopted, and then confirmed by both houses of the BiH Parliament. All before the report on BiH, which dynamizes and determines our EU path,” said Konaković.

He recalled the examples of Romania, which withdrew nearly 150 billion BAM from the EU, raised its GDP to 77 percent of the EU average (before joining, it was 20 percent) and Bulgaria, which in the last four years doubled the wages of employees.

“There are many more positive examples. There are also many benefits brought to us by the approach to the EU, projects, funds, grants and access to the common market, additional chances for our economy,” Konaković points out.

He adds that the citizens will feel these benefits in their pockets, young people will get the opportunity for a job that is adequately paid and the opportunity to stay in their homeland, to build and develop it.

“In the past seven months, we could have blocked, provoked, we could have persuaded various politicians, we could have interrupted the meetings, we could have interrupted the parliament sessions. We didn’t. We didn’t because that would have brought us points, and instead of the citizens’ pockets, it would have been in their pockets.” , says Konaković.

He also states that it was not easy to remain immune to all the lies, spins, insinuations, even insults.

“All of those who wasted years in power, filled their pockets by puffing on patriotic chests. They hid the truth from their people, told falsehoods that please the ear, hid behind religion and our honorable struggle. It was not easy, but it was worth it “, he points out.

He said that he calls on all those who are grieving because BiH is finally moving forward to support positive trends, not to be written down as those who put the brakes on prosperity and those who throw another chance for our country under their feet.

“It’s too expensive. All the missed chances, all the missed trains, April packages and other opportunities cost us a lot. We lost entire cities of people, our youth sought happiness in other countries,” said Konaković.

He also said that the attacks on the appointment of the finance minister are the best indicator of the state of the opposition.

“The position belongs to the SNSD party from the beginning. With that position, they have one less, and our side one more, compared to the previous mandate. We fixed some more mistakes caused by the trade of those who attack us,” claims Konaković.

He announced that in the coming days, he will show how additional/subsequent works of 98.2 million euros will be made on the contract of 70 million euros.

“You guessed it, these are the ones who are grieving and attacking us. You read that right, 98.2 million euros. In one share. That is the amount of maternity benefits in the entire Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the whole year. Every mother of every child born gets 1,000 BAM per door. E it was eaten by parasites and thieves, on only one section,” Konaković concluded, Klix.ba reports.
