The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an orange warning due to strong local showers accompanied by thunder and strong gusts of wind. Locally, the appearance of a hail is also possible.

Thunderstorms are expected across the country for the period August 4 from 2:00 p.m. – August 5 until 3:00 p.m.

With a heavy downpour, 15-30 liters of rain can fall per square meter. Wind gusts 50-70 km/h.

Recommendations of the World Meteorological Organization for this warning: Be prepared to protect yourself and your property. Flooding of property and traffic networks is possible. Disruption in the supply of electricity, water and communications is possible. A minor evacuation may be required.

Difficult driving conditions due to reduced visibility and uncontrolled movement of vehicles due to water. Be prepared for disruptions, structural damage, and the risk of injury from uprooted trees and wind-borne debris. Power outages are possible.
