BiH is One of the Few Countries in Europe where Students cannot Work

“We are one of the few countries in Europe where our students cannot work in their own country and of course they will spend these school and student vacations in neighboring countries or somewhere further away where they will work as we all did in our youth Europe,” said Mario Nenadić, director of the FBiH Employers’ Association, as a guest on the Rezime show.

Although in the West it is common for high school students to work, in our country this has not been legally resolved and we have become a training ground where European practice and politics and human rights are tested, added Nenadić.

According to him, rules have been introduced in Bosnia and Herzegovina that do not work in any country in the world, and that we do not have enough courage to face it and take matters into our own hands.

“We must not allow that we do not have seasonal workers, which is why the entire production or harvest of certain fruits and vegetables remains unharvested. We do not have a seasonal worker, we do not allow the import of workers from abroad. We also have a problem with that because we don’t understand why we import labor. We have a problem with the work of students, we have a problem with the non-use of funds for the professional rehabilitation of people with disabilities,” Nenadić emphasized.

He also states that we are one of the few countries that has not faced the fact that people with disabilities should find a place to work in the remaining part of their working capacity, and not be treated as a social case.

“We also have huge funds for various minority support projects, however, everything is unconnected and everything works like a well-tuned orchestra,” Nenadić said, among other things, as a guest in Rezime.
