The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, will participate today in the ministerial meeting within the framework of the 12th EU Strategy Forum for the Danube Region /EUSDR/, which is being held on Brdo near Kranj in Slovenia.
The ministerial meeting is expected to adopt a joint statement on the implementation of the Strategy, and Konaković will also participate in a panel on the role of macro-regional cooperation within the framework of the new stimulus to the EU enlargement process.
Within the framework of the 12th EU Strategy Forum, the EU enlargement, the support of the Danube Region Program to the acceding countries, the recovery of Ukraine, the energy and transport challenges of the region, and the inclusion of young people in the EUSDR and occupations that will be needed in the future will be discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in the Council ministers.
The EU strategy for the Danube region is a macro-regional one consisting of 14 countries – Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine.
