BiH Presidency Member believes BiH will prosper after NATO’s Green Light

BiH’s Presidency Member Šefik Džaferović believes that Bosnia and Herzegovina has full support in further reforms after the path to NATO has been unblocked.

After a meeting with US Ambassador Maureen Cormack and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer, and a meeting of members of the BiH Presidency with the Peace Implementation Council Steering Board (PIC), Džaferović said at the press conference that BiH has been encouraged to make further progress with reforms.

He stressed that the United States is committed to helping Bosnia and Herzegovina, and welcomed America’s strong support for BiH.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the help of the United States, has so far made significant reforms in all segments in the country,” said Džaferović, adding that these reforms should be implemented independently, but with the help of international community.

He emphasized that BiH on this path has the support of the Peace Implementation Council and urged all BiH institutions to take all the necessary steps to implement the plan as soon as possible.

He also referred to today’s behavior of the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, and his leaving of the meeting with the members of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council, and pointed out that such Dodik’s behavior undermines the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is disrespect for the members of the PIC, Federal News Agency reports.
