Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, met on Wednesday in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Peter Szijjarto.
They discussed the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, bilateral cooperation and common challenges in the field of security.
Strengthening relations and contributing to building stability and security are considered very important, not only for internal relations within countries but also for the overall economic development and progress of the region.
They also discussed illegal migrant flows and the continuation of cooperation to combat this phenomenon, emphasizing the need to protect external borders and coordinated measures to prevent smuggling and human trafficking.
The officials pointed out that by approving candidate status for EU membership, BiH gained new momentum for progress and the adoption of European standards.
Nešić pointed out that Hungary can provide significant support in that area, along with the transfer of knowledge and experience in fulfilling EU recommendations, the Ministry of Security of BiH announced.
