Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Hani Abdullah M. Mominah.

The Ambassador visited the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time and congratulated the Chief Prosecutor on her appointment to this position.

At this meeting, the modalities of future cooperation were discussed, in the framework of the judicial cooperation of prosecutor’s offices and judicial institutions at the international level.

Also, the Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Gordana Tadić and the officials from the Special Department for War Crimes have met with the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia Snežana Stanojković and her associates.

The topics of the meeting were cooperation of the two prosecutor’s offices in their joint efforts to address impunity for war crimes, cooperation in the framework of the Protocol on Cooperation and in tracing missing persons, as well as other current issues pertaining to the prosecution of war crimes cases that require cooperation and communication of the prosecutor’s offices of the two respective countries.

Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of the Republic of Serbia have confirmed their interest in the strengthening of the regional cooperation between prosecutor’s offices in the region.

Joint cooperation is of key importance in addressing the impunity for war crimes and in seeing to it that the suspected perpetrators are bought to justice irrespective of their place of residence, as well as in making sure that witnesses and victims in the proceedings conducted at prosecutor’s offices and courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Serbia, respectively, get all the assistance and support they need.

Regional cooperation of the prosecutor’s offices enjoys the support of the IRMCT Prosecutor Serge Brammertz and international organizations active in this field.
