BlablaDev: Meet the new Spark Startup

How did you come up with the idea? Where does the name blablaDev come from? What makes your startup special?

When I graduated, I couldn’t find a job as a programmer due to the inexperience. There is this “gap” between. I tried to gain an experience by myself, but I had no idea what to do. Luckily and by chance, I somehow managed to get hired – I worked for a while at SPARK school as a lecturer. This is when I came up with the idea of creating a platform for developers to help them gain experience while at the same time making it easier for companies to hire developers. And that’s how blablaDev was created = blabla (my filler word I use all the time) + Dev (abbreviated from “developer”).

Describe your average day at startup. Tell us about your team and how you work together. Almost all startup members are employed at other companies, so we usually work at night and communicate online.

Who are your users and how do you reach them? We have two types of users – inexperienced developers and companies that employ developers. The first ones are reached through SPARK school, social networks, newsletters, generally online. Companies are contacted directly.

What do you like the most in SPARK startup program? The best part is that we have someone to rely on, someone who will help us when the problem arises, whether it is the lack of knowledge, resources, human resources or anything else.

What’s your productivity hack during bad days? Unfortunately, there are such days. Luckily, they do not appear in all startup members at the same time, so we motivate each other.
