custovicAustralian scientists have created a new device, called CountaKick. This device should allow mothers to record the activity of fetus during the pregnancy through smartphone applications.

Innovator of this application is Edhem Eddie Custovic from B&H.

On the question “How women can monitor the activity of the fetus today,” Custovic responded: ”This might seem outdated, but mothers are asked to measure the activity of their fetus by putting a hand on their stomach – like we are living in the 19th century. Another problem is that mothers, of course, have their own lives and they work, many of them want to stay active and to work while they are pregnant, which creates a lot of anxiety, because they have to follow the kicking of their baby. This device allows mothers to continue with their lives, to do whatever they want, knowing that kicking of their baby is monitored by wearable technology,” emphasized Custovic.

The device is still in the stage of development. Number of agencies provided help to Custovic, which are interested for CountaKick to appear on the market soon.

“I have had a lot of help from the agencies in Australia in recent weeks, because they are interested for the CountaKick to appear on the market. It is realistic to expect that this product will appear on the market in 12 months. We will start testing the product very soon, and it is only a matter of time when we will start to sell it,” said Custovic.

Besides Australia, the application is a complete novelty on the world stage as well.
