Jakov Jelkić, who disappeared on the night of January 31 to February 1 during a night out in Alicante, Spain, has been found dead. Jelkić was originally from Odžak.

Spanish media reports that his body was found in the port of Alicante.

The body was pulled from the water by Civil Guard divers shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday. The police currently believe that it was not a violent death, but rather an accident, sources close to the case confirmed to Informacion.

More details will be known after the autopsy to be performed by the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Alicante.

Jakov was in Spain for a football tournament with his club from Switzerland, where he plays for the local team in the city of Zermatt. He was last seen on Friday night at the Upikum nightclub in Alicante, around 2:50 a.m., after which he disappeared without a trace, Klix.ba writes.
