The Brčko District Police continued to take action against those who commit violations of traffic regulations, and they confiscate the cars of those who do not pay fines. They propose to the court that their vehicles be permanently confiscated.

Namely, during the implementation of traffic control activities, officers of the Brčko District Police seized four motor vehicles from multiple returnees committing offenses from this area.

“Police officers, during their regular duties and tasks, yesterday checked a Volkswagen Jetta motor vehicle driven by a person E.S. A check in the official register of fines for E.S. found that he owes 4,908.50 BAM on the basis of unpaid fines,” said the police.

After the control over the Mercedes Vito motor vehicle driven by person B.A. and by checking the unpaid fines, it was established that he has a debt of 1,304.40 BAM.

On the same basis, it was determined that the person A.A., who was driving the Opel Vectra motor vehicle, has a debt of 3,240.00 BAM, and that R.A., who was driving the Golf III motor vehicle, owes a total of 2,563.40 BAM.

“All persons have been identified as multiple returnees for committing serious offenses in the area of the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on Roads in BiH, and due to the grounds of suspicion that they will continue to commit the same, in accordance with Article 20, paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) ) of the Law on Misdemeanors of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the temporary confiscation of motor vehicles was carried out and deposited in the deposit of the Police of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, specified the police.

Requests for initiation of misdemeanor proceedings will be submitted to the Basic Court of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina against the mentioned persons, as well as proposals for the permanent seizure and sale of the vehicle.
The Police of the Brčko District of BiH emphasizes to all traffic participants the importance of complying with traffic regulations, at the same time warning multiple returnees in the commission of traffic violations to continue performing intensive controls according to that category, with the aim of deterring them from further committing violations and preventing such occurrences.
