Anes Congo Bronze vijesti.baKarateist Anes Čongo continued a great series of results, and he is coming back from the World Championships in Jakarta with a bronze medal. As always, he offered the most when it was the most necessary.

Last year’s junior champion of Europe, this year’s bronze medal winner at the European Championships under 21, and now a bronze medal winner at the World Championships under 21, which is just a part of his achievements, had five matches before winning the bronze medal at the World Championships.

First, Čongo defeated the representative of China (Wu Chuun-Wei) with a result of 3-1 and in the next round he met with the first favorite of the World Championship, the representative of Turkey (Aktas Ugur), who defeated him with 4-2. Since Ugur qualified for the finals, Anes got an opportunity to do repassage matches.

In the first repassage, Čongo won against the representative of Chile (Von Marttens Sepulveda Randal Arturo) with 7-0, and in the next round he fought with the Belarus representative Isakau Anton whom he defeated with a result of 2-0.

In the match of the third place, Čongo was against the Algerian Anis Samy Brahimi, winning against him with 1-0.
