Businessmen in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have organized a protest in front of the FBiH Government building in Sarajevo over the increase in the minimum wage from 619 KM to 1,000 KM. The protesters blocked the road and are demanding a fair tax system, a reduction in contributions and, as they stated, an end to unfair burdening of employers.

These are businessmen who have organized themselves in the informal Viber group “Businessmen of the Federation”, which has several thousand members.

They pointed out, as they say, the long-term harmful consequences that the decision to increase the minimum wage will have on the economy and economic growth in the FBiH, but also in BiH in general. Bosnian souvenirs

They say that they are not against the minimum wage of 1,000 KM, but they are against the highest contributions in the region, and are demanding their reduction.

They are also demanding an urgent reform of the legislation that will enable better business.

Members of the group have previously stated that they consider the increase in the minimum wage a direct blow to the FBiH economy.

The Economic and Social Council for the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is also meeting today, at whose last session it was agreed that mechanisms would be found to remove additional burdens on employers.

Members of the Council previously pointed out that they would soon go public with a set of measures that should contribute to finding relief for all parties.
