The planner represents a part of a networked system of passenger planners of countries of the Adriatic region, whose establishment will provide the visitors and travelers of the area with all information about the fastest routes to travel, together with the possibilities and ways to combine different means of the transportation.

On this occasion, the presentation of mentioned planners was organized today for representatives of cantonal ministries and institutions that are interested in its development.

“The aim is to establish an integrated passenger platform for the Adriatic region that would unify all the data from public transportation in one place. The citizens would be able to access this data via informational application using their mobile phones or other electronic devices on the 10 languages” said the Minister of Transport of Canton Sarajevo, Mujo Fišo. He added that this is the trend in Europe made to improve the mobility of passengers, and to allow them to receive all the information about their places of interest as soon as possible.

He added that the implementation of this planners would allow better orientation of tourists in our region, as well as the promotion of tourism in Sarajevo Canton.

According to the Director of the SERDA, Ševkija Okerić, the establishment of an integrated passenger platforms for the Adriatic region should be completed by the end of the year. It will take place within the project “Traveller Information System for the Adriatic Region TISAR.” The project is worth almost 2.18 million EUR, and will be implemented by the Ministry of Transport of Canton Sarajevo and SERDA in cooperation with their partners from Italy, Greece, Croatia and Slovenia.
