In accordance with the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, indirect elections for the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH and the Council of Peoples of the Republika Srpska are implemented immediately, and no later than one month after the announcement of the confirmed results of the General Elections in 2022.

In a press release, the Central Electoral Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina reminds the competent authorities that the deadline for the implementation of the mentioned indirect elections expires on December 2, 2022.

By the provisions of the BiH Election Law and the Instructions on the procedure for the implementation of indirect elections for authorities in BiH under the BiH Election Law, the Central Election Commission of BiH conducts activities on the implementation of indirect elections.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has, as of today, certified the lists of candidates from four cantonal assemblies for the election of delegates to the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, from the Tuzla Canton, Bosnian-Podrinje Canton-Goražde, Posavina Canton and West-Herzegovina Canton.

The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina has received lists of candidates from the Assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the Assembly of Canton 10 and the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton, and they are in the process of completing the documentation, i.e. signing the statements of the nominated candidates from these three cantons, so that the BiH CEC can carry out the necessary checks of submitted candidate lists and nominated candidates.

The CEC of BiH states that the candidate lists from the assemblies of the Sarajevo Canton, Central Bosnia Canton and Una-Sana Canton have not yet been submitted.

At today’s session, the Central Election Commission of BiH verified the candidate lists for the election of delegates from Republika Srpska to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, CEC BiH stated.
