Ceremony to Mark the Beginning of Training for Young Officers of B&H Armed Forces Tomorrow

oficiriA ceremony at the House of B&H Armed Forces in Sarajevo will mark the start of a training for the 30 most successful highly educated candidates, who have applied for admission in the officers corps of the B&H Armed Forces. This is the first class of students who were selected as part of the pilot project “Basic training for officers”.

Apart from the highest representatives of the Ministry of Defense and B&H Armed Forces and representatives of Embassy of Great Britain in B&H, in the ceremony the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces (NATO) in Europe and the Operational Commander of European Union Mission EUFOR, the British General Sir Richard Shireff, representatives of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo and EUFOR, representatives of OSCE and B&H Ministry of Security, as well as all the selected candidates and members of their families will participate.

B&H Minister of Defense Zekerijah Osmić, Deputy Supreme Commander of NATO in Europe, the General Sir Richard Shireff and the British Military Attache in B&H Colonel Rob Tomlinson will address the audience.

Also, a film screening (30 min) on the process of candidates selection is foreseen.
