Chairman of BiH Presidency denied the Statements by BiH Head of Diplomacy

The Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zeljko Komsic, denied the statements of the Head of Diplomacy of BiH, Elmedin Konakovic, who claims that Komsic, in a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Marko Rutte, asked him to not open negotiations with BiH.

“It is a lie and it seems to be the only means he has left. However, there are too many witnesses from that meeting for such an obvious lie. But it is such a childish lie, or even worse, a sick lie!”, said Komsic briefly in the answer that arrived shortly after the announcement of People and Justice.

Konakovic spoke on Thursday night at the party forum in Novi Grad, during which he made claims that Komsic denied.

“I want to remind you that when the opportunity arose for BiHto take a step forward, we were ready to go to Neum even though we knew it was a political risk. Then we truly showed that the state of BiH is more important to us than the party or any personal benefit. I checked and received confirmation from several parties that Zeljko Komsic himself, at a meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rutte in the Presidency of BiH, requested that the European Union (EU) not open negotiations with BiH. That is the difference between us and them, imagine a leader who says do not open negotiations with us,” Konakovic pointed out.

Namely, Rutte came to BiH at the beginning of this week together with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic. On Tuesday, a meeting was organized in the BiH Presidency, to which the Croatian Prime Minister did not come, but Von der Leyen and Rutte did. Also, there were two other members of the BiH Presidency, Klix.ba writes.
