kutakThe World Vision organization and UNICEF opened today in the premises of the Association “A better tomorrow” (Elementary school Solina) the “Children’s corner”- a space with the objective to help overcome the consequences of floods and landslides through various creative and educative contents.

The “Children’s corner” is a symbolic title for a space totally adapted to kids, their rights and needs.

“These rooms are a safe environment for the kids, they represent a support in the process of recovering from the tragedies caused by floods and landslides.” – said for the Fena Agency the coordinator of the “Children’s corner” Nela Bašić.

She explained that the “Corner” will be open for 6 hours a day for the children from 5 to 17 years who will have the chance to enjoy various creative and educative contents for free.

Bašić emphasized that in every of these corners there is a qualified staff organizing creative educative and sports acitivities.

So far, the World Vision in cooperation with UNICEF and other partners across B&H opened 19 corners for kids and will continue to do so in the whole country until the start of this school year.

After the opening of the “Corner” in Solina, the opening of the “Children’s corner” in the premises of the school “Jovan Dučić” in Šekovići is planned for tomorrow.
