The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, People and Justice Party and Our Party issued a press release calling on the SDA and the DF to stop “spreading paranoia due to the increasingly certain loss of power”.
As they state, the concern of these parties about the possible intervention of the OHR sounds insincere, if it is known that they have the possibility to prevent such a procedure. With Lendo’s simple recognition of the will of the parliamentary majority, they add, any intervention becomes redundant and pointless.
“If Refik Lendo agrees to the appointment of a government that is backed by a clear parliamentary majority, there can be no intervention whatsoever. Distortion is the claim that the parliamentary majority, with the intention of appointing a government, commits legal violence. This is done by the minority in the parliament, which destroys parliamentary democracy and does not recognize the fundamental principle of parliamentary democracy, which is that the majority in parliament forms the government. We are witnessing the height of the paradox when those who do not recognize the parliamentary majority ironically call out the international community for ignoring the will of the parliament,” stated the parties of the Three.
This coalition once again calls on the parliamentary minority to “show at least a minimum of awareness for democratic principles, and to call on their the FBiH Vice President Refik Lendo, not to block the appointment of the FBiH Government, which is backed by the will of the FBiH Parliament”, Fena reports.
