Covic spoke with Commissioner Hahn in Brussels

10656355_1728721344031209_79299067_nChairman of B&H Presidency Dragan Covic met in Brussels with EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

At the beginning of the meeting, Commissioner Hahn congratulated the Chairman Covic, and expressed his satisfaction that B&H submitted credible application for EU membership, thus showing its commitment to the EU. He said that submission of the request for membership in EU is a great day for B&H, and that is the result of a very active and engaged policy, both in B&H and the EU.

He also congratulated to the citizens of B&H, emphasizing that there is a long way in the process of European integration before our country, and that B&H can always count on the help of the EU in this process.

“Submission of the application for the EU membership is a special moment that will mean a major turning point in B&H, said Covic, adding that the credible application is the result of the hard work of EU administration and all levels of government.

He also said that B&H is expecting more obligations in the future towards the EU and that the European path has no alternative.

All EU member states sent warm congratulations which shows the support that B&H has on its European path.
