At a time of such a political and constitutional crisis, any academic activity is desperately needed. The conference “World and We” at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo discussed diplomatic activities as causes, but also possible solutions to the problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
”In a world where change is happening faster than ever, global cooperation is a necessity. That is why diplomatic activities and foreign policy are a matter of the survival of the system, including the state. The problems we currently have are a reflection of the unrecognizable foreign policy of BiH, ” Professor Nerzuk Curak is clear.
“I even think that if this policy was more adequate, clear, precise, more penetrating, more effective, these internal divisions, which are emerging, could be under stronger control and some destructive external influences that gave wings to these right-wing politicians in BiH who would like to break up this beautiful country could be suppressed, ” explained Curak.
Anarchist games and disorder could be cleared up by the diplomatic offensive of the international community, which wehave been witnessing lately. Even though everything looks dark now, BiH and its institutions will overcome this crisis, but still, everything is in our hands, as the Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Zeljko Komsic, believes.
“The judiciary now has a really heavy burden in terms of the moves it has to make. Violation of the law, violation of the constitutional system, integrity, and sovereignty of this country is at this moment in the hands of the judiciary to the greatestextent. That is why I want those people there who have honorable intentions and want to do their job honorably, always have the support of foreigners, from whom we sometimes expect a little too much, but they should also have support from us Bosnians and Herzegovinians, ” told Komsic.
There is enough support, as it seems.
“The United Kingdom (UK) is more committed to BiH than ever. We will continue to use our resources in diplomacy, development, and defense to ensure a bright future for all in BiH, ” pointed out Mathew Field, the UK Ambassador to BiH.
It is now clear to everyone that BiH should work on its presentation and image because it has long been proven that marketing is an investment, not a cost. It is important to mention that the Center for International Politics and Post-Conflict Research was opened yesterday at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo.
