cvijanovicThe President of Government of Republika Srpska (RS) Željka Cvijanović emphasized there is no address she is not ready to turn to if it can help restoration after floods in RS.

RS is facing restoration of infrastructure and agriculture, and Cvijanović finds all that requires more investments but she assures that everything will be built with realistic planning and strategic measures.

‘’It will not be easy, funds need to be found and I am ready to support all initiatives and ways to enable development’’, she said.

She said the Government was forced to adjust its measures to the present moment and principle of solidarity has been affirmed which included reallocation of funds to repair the damage caused by floods.

Summarizing what has been done during her mandate, the entity Prime Minister among other things emphasized that the RS Government, in almost impossible conditions, managed to secure stability and security to citizens of RS.

She reminded that with joint efforts with colleagues in Government of the Federation of BiH, activities of ‘’Elektroprenos BiH“ were unblocked.

‘’We enabled new workplaces in this company. Governments of RS and FBiH launched new investment cycle in this company for transmission of electric energy and we created new workplaces’’, said Cvijanović.

She emphasized the executive authority in RS regularly fulfilled all commitments, from pensions to allowances for veterans and all other social categories.

‘’On the other hand, even with constant attempts to solve certain problems on the street, the RS Government managed to find answers to all those challenges and not allow the unrest, which caused great material damage in the Federation of BiH, to be transferred to RS’’, Cvijanović told FENA.

She also reminded that talks on the beginning of ‘’South Stream’’ project began, which should also secure new workplaces and permanent energy stability of RS.

She said the current government enabled ‘’blue diesel’’ to farmers in RS for the first time for spring and autumn sowing, and 126 million and 243.953.84 KM has been paid for incentive in agriculture.

She added that significant activities have been done in segment of economy as well.

Even though there was constant talk on debts, she repeated that ‘’RS is not insolvent according to international financial standards, even though some like to give public statements about it’’.

Those are some of the positive trends, she emphasized, but then floods happened in May.

‘’We suffered enormous damages but thanks to responsible Government and committed work we are now in a restoration stage’’, emphasized President of the RS Government.

She reminded there is a lot of work and obligations and she does not even have time to think about the October elections and the upcoming pre-election campaign.

‘Our aim is to assist the citizens to begin repairing their homes and flats. We know 5.000 BAM is not enough for some to repair the damage, but Government wants to help its citizens as much as it can to repair their homes and secure minimum living conditions. We are the first government in the region which introduced set of laws on restoration in the parliament and we received support even from the opposition and that set of laws also implies new workplaces because we are determined to fully use local economic resources for everything we can restore’’, said Željka Cvijanović in an interview with FENA.
