moneyThe Council of Ministers of B&H adopted the report of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, “Donor Mapping Report in 2014”, which comprehensively presents projects and programs in 2014, financed by members of the Donor Coordination Forum (DCF), as well as analysis of the situation and reforms that are taking place within the following six sectors in B&H: judiciary and internal affairs; public administration reform; development of private sector; transport and energy infrastructure, environmental protection and climate change sector; and social development sector.

A total of 770.60 million EUR of official development assistance (ODA) was allocated in 2014, of which 199.63 million EUR in the form of grants and 570.97 million EUR in the form of loans.

Allocations of ODA increased by 104.89 million EUR in 2014 in comparison to 2013, mostly as a result of quick response of donors to the floods in May last year, when loans dominated in relation to grants.

The largest creditors were the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank (WB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Union, Sweden/Sida, USA/USAID, Germany, Switzerland and UNDP ensured most of the grants.

Last year, the highest percentage of international development assistance was allocated for the sector of environmental protection and climate change with 39 %, then the sector of energy infrastructure and transport with 22 % and the development of private sector with 19 %, while the lowest allocations were in the social development sector with 13 %.
