cherry fair mostar“Cherries can be a symbol of the development of this region,” is only one of the thesis that could be heard at the opening ceremony of the 15th International fair of the economy, food, and tourism “Days of Cherry”, which is taking place in Vrapcici near Mostar. Around 300 exhibitors from our country and the entire region will have the opportunity to present their products at this fair in the next two days.

The fair was officially opened by Prime Minister of the FBiH Fadil Novalic, who noted the efforts that the government is investing in order to facilitate the position of our agricultural producers.

“We are trying to increase investment in this field, primarily by attracting investors, and on the other side by pumping funds into this branch. We are trying to make the life of our farmers easier with legal mechanisms,” said Prime Minister Novalic.

Mayor Ljubo Beslic stated the importance of this fair in Mostar and noted that this great event has already become part of the brand of the entire city.

“This is a fair of tourism, and we are a city of tourism. It is a great thing to try to revive agriculture in this way. We should motivate young people to get engaged and thus develop the overall local community,” said Mayor Ljubo Beslic.

“This fair is much wider than a cherry, which is a symbol of this region, and many exhibitors from the field of tourism, food, and related industries have the opportunity to present themselves, and our aim is to gather as many people as possible, in order to create new workplaces”, said the director of the fair, Salem Bubalo.
