Deposits of BiH Citizens increase by almost 400 Million BAM

In BiH, total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of August amounted to 36.04 billion BAM and were 395.9 million BAM or 1.1 percent higher than in July, the Central Bank of BiH announced.

The increase in deposits at the monthly level was registered with private companies by 194.3 million BAM or 2.4 percent, households by 169.7 million BAM or 0.9 percent, government institutions by 25.2 million BAM or 0.5 percent, non-financial public enterprises by five million BAM or 0.3 percent, and other domestic sectors by 1.7 million BAM or 0.1 percent.

The annual growth rate of total deposits in August was 10.4 percent, which is 3.39 billion BAM in absolute terms.

Annual growth in deposits was registered with government institutions by 787.8 million BAM or 18.5 percent, the retail sector by 1.91 billion BAM or 11.3 percent, other domestic sectors by 163 million BAM or 8.6 percent, and private enterprises by 632.8 million BAM or 8.3 percent.

Deposits decreased at the annual level with non-financial public enterprises by 105.1 million BAM or 5.2 percent.
