fahrudin_radoncicDeputies of the House of Representatives of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly at today’s session with 28 votes in favor, 9 against and 5 abstentions adopted the initiative of the Democratic Action Party on the dismissal of the B&H Minister of Security Fahrudin Radončić (Alliance for a Better Future).

For the dismissal to be valid, it should be confirmed by the House of Peoples of the B&H Parliamentary Assembly.

Against the dismissal of the Minister Radončić were deputies of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) B&H and HDZ 1990, Deputies of Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) and the Deputy of Croatian Party Zvonko Jurišić.

The abstained votes were from the deputies of People’s Party Work for Progress, the Democratic Peoples Community (DNZ), the Party for B&H and the Deputy of the Union of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Živković.

SDA stated that there are justified reasons for the dismissal because during the protest on 7 February a large number of people were injured, including police officers, and a number of institutions of B&H were damaged, and the Minister should leave his duties because of the compromised security situation.

They noted that during the protests there were fires, huge damage to the building of the B&H Presidency was made, as well as in the several governmental and municipal buildings in B&H, and the state flag was put on fire and there was some damage to the B&H Archive, and the Minister did not undertake any action to protect the citizens and properties in accordance with his responsibilities.
