The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Ana Trišić –Babić received the non-resident Ambassadors of Lithuania to BiH Renatas Juška and Moldovian Ambassador Aleksandrua Kodreanu in separate visits.

Trišić-Babić expressed her satisfaction to Ambassador Juška for Lithuania’s engagement on issues of EU enlargement as one of the main goals, in light of the country’s upcoming Presidency of the EU from 1 July 2013.

She said that BiH is dedicated to the European path, and it is one of the foreign policy goals of BiH.

Juška emphasized the importance of solving the “Sejdić-Finci” ruling and starting dialogue on issues related to BiH’s progress on the Euro Atlantic path.

He added that Lithuania would support BiH to take stronger steps towards EU integration.

Trišić-Babić called on Ambassador Juška for his country to support BiH during sessions of the European Commission in solving the issue of border crossing for BiH citizens using their ID cards after Croatia enters the EU.

During the meeting, Trišić-Babić exchanged information with Ambassador Aleksandruo Kodreanu on the foreign policy priorities of BiH and Moldova and said that bilateral relations of the two countries are good and that they should progress at the highest level.

It was assessed that the two countries have to support one another on the path to European integration, and it is necessary to continue to hold consular consultations with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of BiH and Moldova.

Kodreanu said that Moldova is actively participating in the process of regional cooperation and that it supported BiH’s candidacy for the seat of the RCC.

Trišić-Babić emphasized the necessity of the mutual exchange of information, as well as organizing meetings of businesspeople in both countries with the goal to improve economic relations, as well as the promotion of business potentials in BiH and Moldova.

She added that there is a necessity to begin negotiations for the conclusion of agreements between the two countries in the next period.
