europska noć istraživačaThe European Researcher’s Night will be held in our country this year as well, under the “Path to science” motto.

This event will be held this year in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Bijeljina and Mostar where many attractive contents will find their place at the same time too.

In Sarajevo, this event will take place on September 26th at the Vilsonovo šetalište (Vilson’s promenade).

“You will have the chance to research innovations, science achievements and various science projects with us, from 17:00 o’clock to the late night hours. You will be able to spend a totally different family night where everyone will get the chance to find out something new, try different experiments, enjoy quizzes, workshops, screenings and other fun contents. On top of it all, we have organized a concert by some funny professors with who we will watch the stars and travel through time.” – said the organizers.

The organizers of this event are Oxfam’s office in Sarajevo in cooperation with the Institute of Hydrotechnics Sarajevo – HEIS and Tidea company from Banja Luka. They invite the exhibitors at the science fair and demonstrators to apply:

“Once again, we invite all organizations, science and research institutions, companies and individuals who are related to science in any way and who haven’t yet apply to do it now. Besides, we are looking for demonstrators or science promoters, students who have an interesting science project which they could present during this event to those who will attend.

The application deadline is until September 10th so there is not much time left.

This year, the motto of the event is “Path to science”. It will, as a part of the campaign which uses traffic signs as basic, direct citizens towards science contents and develop their interest for the thematic units of the event and acquaint them in that way with science researches and innovations.

For applications and further details about this event go to www.nocistraživača.ba or FB site.

“Last year, there were over 4 000 citizens participating this event, and considering the fact that we expanded the program with extra educative and above all entertaining contents, we believe that there will be plenty of reasons for you to join us again at the Vilson’s Promenade.” – said the organizers.

Some of the contents are: Innovation and science fair, children’s science park, DNA corner, workshops, lectures, quizzes for all ages, competitions and presentations of the best science projects in high schools, presentations of the technical achievements in general which will give you the chance to get to know better the IT sector and the latest news related to it.

The European Researcher’s Night is being held every last Friday in September since 2005. This year, the event is sponsored by the EU Horizon 2020 program, with the goal to promote science researches and the carrier of young researchers as well as to raise awareness about the influence of various researches and science on everyday life. Since it was created, this event has been marked in several European towns and in 2013 it was held in around 370 towns in 32 European countries.
