The Director of the Agency for Document Identification, Registers and Data Exchange (IDDEEA) Siniša Macan says that all preparations for the beginning of electronic ID cards in BiH are ready. The new ID cards include an invisible chip.
In an interview for ‘Nezavisne Novine’, Macan said that citizens will have additional protection, and authorities would be better able to identify citizens.
‘’There is no obligation that the exchange of documents be completed within a certain period of time, but simply, it is a continuous process. As the old forms expire, citizens will go to the competent ministries of internal affairs to get new ones’’, said Macan.
The issuance of new ID cards for BiH citizens will begin tomorrow.
