The start of the “Combined Effort 22” exercise was marked today with more than 800 members of the Battalion Group of Light Infantry (BGLP) at the Manjača military training ground which is also the final evaluation of this declared unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSBiH), as well as the reevaluation of the Military Police and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) squads.

During the five-day exercise, an assessment (NEL-2) will be carried out according to the NATO Operational Capability Concept Evaluation and Feedback Program (OCC E&F) with the aim of checking the achieved level of training of BGLP members, as well as the readiness and ability to act in a multinational environment according to NATO standards.

The inspection of more than 800 members of the BGLP was carried out by the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH, Colonel General Senad Mašović, who in his speech emphasized the importance of the NEL-2 exercise, which has been the crown of the activities of the Armed Forces of BiH since their establishment.

He also emphasized the professionalism, readiness and ability of the members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both through previous evaluations and through engagement in international peacekeeping missions.

At the same time, General Mašović wished all the members success in carrying out all assigned tasks.

The assessment of the unit will be carried out by an evaluation team made up of 20 evaluators from NATO and Partnership for Peace countries and 50 evaluators from the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
