sahaf-2013The Sarajevo Halal Forum SAHAF 2013 is an international forum and fair of the halal industry that will be held in Skenderija from 15-17 May 2013. This manifestation, in addition to a significant number of local and international exhibitors and participants to the forum, there will be many interesting educational, cultural and entertainment events.

As part of the fair, there will be a permanent exhibition of the Artists Association “Elif”,which is made up of artists and academic painters that have a successful career.

According to the President of the Association Elvis Hajdarević: Rarely seen traditional art techniques that were historically present in our region will be presented, as well as other forms of visual art in BiH. There are various manifestations of traditional Bosniak traditional art such as: metal works, carpet-weaving, illumination, ebru (paper marbling) porcelain, as well as modern interpretations of the same motifs and techniques.

The President of the Association, Mr. Elvis Hajdarević also said that they supported the program because the “Halal Industry Fair in Sarajevo is of great importance for the promotion of BiH, its economic and industrial potential, as well as all brands from our country and abroad that promote and apply standards of halal production”.

The exhibition will be open to visitors during the entire duration of the fair in Center Skenderija from 10:00-19:00. Art critic Kenan Šurković will officially open the exhibition on Wednesday, 15 May at 12:00.
