Besides making the playing of the match more difficult, the fog in Zenica during last night’s match between the national teams of B&H and Ireland has brought a salvo of funny comments by fans from both sides.
Many fans of Ireland who were following the match in Zenica or on TV commented on dense fog which bothered the players as well as the spectators who could not clearly see the details of the match.
“I think this is how it looks like to have glaucoma”, wrote one Twitter user, while another tweet says: “This is one of the foggiest matches I have ever seen”.
One fan, however, felt as if he was watching the match in the shower, while another one said that this was the best match he has ever seen.
Fog was also commenter about by the users of Facebook, and here are just some of the statuses on this social network:
“I think the match is better seen on radio.”
“What’s the penalty for fog?”
“This is not fog, but the people of Zenica setting fire.”
“Fog prevents me from seeing which players are ours.”
“When this ends, the referee should announce the result.”
“We can bring seven more players in, no one will find out.”
“Now we should put one more ball in their goal and hide this one in the fog and there you go – Bosnia 1:0 Ireland.”
“I dimly remember watching the match against Ireland.”
“Third shift in Mittal came to work.”
“I imagine El Classico under fog, and the Spanish commentator yelling: Messi… No, that was Iniesta… If I can see well, this was a good chance.”
“What an unseen match!”
