Foča Municipality has Stronger Ecological and Cultural Tourism

The cross-border project “Ecological and Cultural Tourism of South Dinarides”, with the participation of municipality Foča and Čapljina in BiH, Pivski region and municipality Tivat in Montenegro wish to attract a specific group of tourists and will realize the project through training and workshops, said at a meeting held in Foča that included the participation of leaders of the project, which are the representatives of institutions and associations from Foča and the Economic faculty in Sarajevo.

Professor Muris from the Economics Faculty in Sarajevo said that the possibility of the combined potential of the municipalities in which the project is implemented will offer a better quality tourist offer than now.

The Mayor of Foča Radisav Mašić said that there is untapped potential in Foče and they are working on this.

“With a few other projects, we will enter into a serious job of creating an appeal of Sutjeska National Park as a very attractive destination that deserves attention. Regarding this plan, we already have selected projects that we will implement together with the Economics faculty and we hope that our assembly will consider and adopt it’’, he said.
