As part of the preparations for the publication of the Third Call for Proposals for Grants under the IPA Adriatic Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) Program Croatia-BiH 2007-2013, a Forum was held yesterday for establishing project partnerships.
Mayor of Bihać Emdžad Galijašević opened the forum, which was attended by around 200 potential partners from the two countries. He said that Cross-Border Cooperation for the Municipality is of great importance because it establishes connections with business partners in both countries. The result is the realization of two previous cooperation projects with a total value of around one million euros.
”Through the project ”Una Source of Life” and ”Green Islands”, we saw the success of cross-border cooperation with Zadar County and Municipality Bihać will apply for projects under the third call, and in this way will continue cooperation with our business partners and friends in BiH and Croatia’’, said Galijašević.
The primary goal of the forum is to encourage the construction of cross-border partnership, providing the opportunity to applicants to make direct cross-border contacts, in order to exchange project ideas and create the conditions for future cooperation in preparation and implementation of the proposals.
The IPA Cross-Border Program Croatia-BiH has as its goal to encourage the creation of cross-border partnerships through joint activities, through projects to enhance entrepreneurship, environmental protection and the strengthening of social cohesion. The total amount of funds from the IPA program for financing the project in both countries is around 3.6 million euros. Through program cross-border projects will be funded, which will be chosen based on quality.
