From a Family Tragedy to a modern domestic Brand of a young Man

received_1108865179164437Emir Beganović from Zenica is a bright example of how one can succeed in BiH and how a serious business can evolve out of a hobby. This 28-year-old man, although he never had any experience in the kitchen, now owns a modern domestic brand “Slatki kutak” (“Sweet Corner”) that wins his fellow citizens and users of social networks from other BiH cities.
Although he has always been creative, Emir never had any experience in the kitchen – the place where, as it will turn out, miracles can be made.

“The very beginning is actually sad, since I had to prepare an eatable meal after my mother passed away. My father was working, and I somehow found solace in the kitchen. I love to say that my path of success began from pita, all the way to baklava and Havana cake”, Beganović said.

Beganović said that it is not difficult to succeed in your work and country, if you do the job you love. That his work is very successful is evidenced by the fact that he has to take orders several weeks beforehand, in order to manage to make all treats and deliver his products on time. He gladly recalls the time when he made 19 cakes in just 24 hours, together with his team, which is another indicator of organization and professionalism.

“My job was a hobby for a short period, given that I managed to achieve great success in a relatively short time. When you do the job you love, I am convinced about success. I am primarily thankful to all people and friends who supported me and believed in me from the first moment. What I have learned from all of this is that success takes faith, patience and goal. Because, if we do not have a goal, we are nothing,” Emir said.

Although today he enjoys his modern domestic brand in confectionery that is still developing, he could never imagine that he will achieve such a success in such a short time. As Emir says, they do not only make cakes, they create them as well. It is a series of operations in order to make creations.

How truly successful he is is also evidenced by the invitation for a competition in Dortmund, where he will find himself shoulder to shoulder with world renowned confectioners.
