Fuel Prices at Gas Stations in BiH should Decrease soon

Fuel prices at gas stations in Republika Srpska should decrease by an average of five and even 15 pfennigs during the next week, depending on the type of petroleum product.

It is certain that pumps in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have to follow this trend.

“Recently, there has been a significant drop in the price of crude oil on world markets, from 95 to 84 dollars, and our domestic distributors, after three or four days, came to a situation where they can now adjust their prices downwards. They reacted as soon as they had the opportunity,” said Chairman of the Oil and Oil Derivatives Trade Group of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, Đorđe Savić, for “Glas Srpska”.

He also states that the purchase retail price of fuel, diesel, cost as much as 3.05 BAM a little less than ten days ago, but also that the new crude oil prices have meanwhile recorded the biggest weekly drop since March of this year.

According to Biznisinfo, the same occurred after reports of a large increase in gasoline inventories and weak demand combined with a sell-off in the bond market, which changed the mood in the oil markets.
