German Company to Shift their Production to Brod?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMayor of Municipality Brod Ilija Jovicic met with representatives of one German company which want to move their production to the Balkan region.

Company is engaged in the production of metal products of stainless steel. Even though the name of the company still holds in secret, eKapija.ba learned that company’s plan is to open a plant in this municipality, invest around one million BAM and employ 50 people.

According to the Municipality of Brod, this company is one among many different companies that are interested in investment opportunities in this city.

“Given the fact that we share border with the European Union, and BiH has export facilitation with many countries, Brod as a place near border, became very attractive for investors. The municipal administration in the previous period put a lots of effort to adapt and simplify regulations to create favorable business environment”, says Jovičić.

He added that investors are primarily interested in tax relief.” In Bosnia and Herzegovina income tax is 10%  in relation to Germany where it’s is 29.6%. Also we have cheaper labor force and favorable conditions in exports, “says Jovičić.
